About the Kanazawa Pride Week 2022 collaboration

Since 2021, KabuK Style has supported the Kanazawa Pride Week as a way to promote diversity in line with their mission to “create the infrastructure for a society that accepts diverse values as they are.”

KabuK Style decided to sponsor the event after resonating with the goal of “promoting understanding surrounding LGBTQ+ issues in order to make Kanazawa and the entire Hokuriku region a safe and comfortable place to live where diversity is valued.”

This time, they collaborated with the HafH partnered property, LINNAS Kanazawa, to hold the Kanazawa Week 2022 official event, “Allies Gathering”

What’s more, the event was planned by members of the HafH Community, a group of HafH users who aim to give back to society and local areas through travel. These travel lovers encouraged others from outside of the region to attend and take part in Kanazawa Pride Week 2022 as part of their travels.

Allies Gathering – LGBTQ+ Discussion

◼︎About the Event

Lately awareness has been growing regarding sexual minorities, (LGBTQ+), but how many people understand or know the meaning of each letter? Also, how many people are aware of the word ‘ally’ and what it means to be one? The first step in creating a comfortable society for all is understanding. In the first half, we spoke to members of the LGBTQ+ community to hear their thoughts on matters such as “What is LGBT+?”, “What is an ally?”, and “What kind of behaviour can be harmful to LGBTQ+ members?”. In the second half, we opened up the floor to discuss with attendants what each of us can from now to create a more inclusive society.
