KabuK Style Inc. (operating company of subscription accommodation service HafH) has been selected for the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry’s startup company support program called “J-Startup.”

KabuK Style is a travel tech company that operates subscription accommodation service HafH (Home away from Home), with a mission to “create the infrastructure for a society that accepts diverse values as they are.”
HafH (Home away from Home) is a subscription accommodation service geared towards not only standard leisure and business travel, but also for newer styles of travel, like workations, location independent living, and even just for a change of pace. Members use “HafH Coins” accumulated through the service to stay at various types of accommodation facilities. As of the end of September 2021, members have access to 949 locations (hotels, ryokan, guesthouses) in 551 cities across 36 countries and regions, all for a fixed-price. Partnering with hotels to create fixed-price accommodation, and through various partnerships with transportation companies, has allowed us to make travel easier and more accessible. By making travel and movement more flexible, we can offer a new lifestyle choice.

J-Startup was launched in June 2018 with the aim of creating global-reaching Japanese startups. Leading venture capitalists and business innovation developers from large corporations nominate promising startups which are then reviewed by an external judging committee. Selected startups are then provided with intensive support from J-Startup Supporters (made up of government and private institutions). The program is being run by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
